Robert Press Director/Executive Producer

A recipient of several National Endowment of the Arts and Drama League Fellowships, Robert Press launched Propriocentric in 2011 to realize his vision of unexplored territory in American multimedia and performance. Prior with his own company in New York City, he produced and directed many American premiers of baroque and modern opera/theatre to critical success. He also directed across the country at venues including Santa Fe Opera, The Living Theatre and Theatre X. He directs across various media--video, online, film, dance, theatre-- and creates cutting edge user experiences for clients such as The New York Stock Exchange, American Express, City of New York and The Economist. He holds a patent and several awards for his work. He has assisted Judith Malina, Peter Sellars and Jonathan Miller.
